What are the best restaurants in Calgary, Alberta?

Dana Russian: For excellent Indian food, try Moti Mahal (a little expensive but worth it) or Rajdoot on 4th st. SW (inexpensive and really tasty). For great, fresh sushi, try Momoyama at 3737 Richmond Rd SW (really nice people and inexpensive for sushi). For thai food... I went to the Rose Garden on Stephen Ave. once and I loved it, they have really yummy phad thai. For Greek food, go to Greco's which is on 17th Ave SW and about 35th st.. their souvlaki and greek salad is sooo good. Okay, the decor is a little outdated, but the souvlaki is worth it.For the Ultimate Hangover Breakfast (brunch?) go to Pfanntastic Pannenkoek Haus... mmmmm... they have traditional Dutch crepes in many varieties of savoury and sweet. If you're going on a Sunday, make sure you get there before the church crowd or you'll never get a seat. The Belmont Diner in Marda Loop is also great breakfast, but always really packed on the weekends....Show more

Hal Palowoda: Go for Rajdoot restaurant and t! aste Masla curry Dishes. Taste different I believe you will enjoy it.

Toshiko Reimers: I just got back from a few days in Calgary[I live in New Brunswick}..i had a really good meal at Saltlik[near the cobblestone area downtown].It's a steakhouse with great food, service and atmosphere-not cheap but not over the top expensive either.

Will Camus: My favourite place to eat in Calgary is "The Cheesecake Cafe". But based on the details in your questions it does not sound like it's what you are looking for. Wish I could be more help. Sorry :)

Mitchel Demry: Lived in Calgary for many years and although we found lots and lots of nice restaurants, none was outstanding for French or Chinese cuisine. One of our favourites was La Paella downtown for Spanish cuisine. But I found a little gem in Okotoks....Take the time to drive down and head for La Petite Table now called Le Bistro I think...Anybody in Okotoks can tell you where La Petite Table is anyway......Owned by a! French couple, they serve French cuisine at its best and have! already raked up a few national awards. I had the best ostrich ever .........Show more
