african animal conservation occupations?

Idell Dufort: You have a great plan and I as well as you would like to go and work in Africa. I saw this site online and I don't know about the site, but you may try it. Good luck and God bless. P.S. you might ask your local zoo of ways to work with animals in other countries. Hope this helps to get you started.

Danette Slotnick: Brilliant plan. But to study at a proper institute, you need to be here (South Africa). The good thing is, at R8,86/$1, it'll be cheaper for your parents for you to be here anyway.A good place to study would probably be at Wildlife Film Academy. That is if you don't want a full journalists degree, but you did say College, not University. But if you want a varsity degree in conservation, try UNISA (www.unisa.ac.za). Another place to try would be Field Guides Association of South Africa (www.fgasa.org.za/)Anyway, look at it this way, if you want to, you can take kids around game parks teaching them about wildlife, or even run photograph! y courses at schools. If you do go home, it's additional experience and kids will love the stories about "the African Bush". Go for it, follow your dreams....Show more
