wats da difference between renting movies and buyin them?

Ariel Arons: If you rent you have to take it back. If you buy you own it forever.

Vita Moodie: If you rent something,in this case movies for your ipod, you have a limited amount of time in which you can use them before you must return them. This amount of time varies with what you are renting and where you are renting from. This affects what you pay, usually a regular ( monthly or in some cases 90 day) fee.I use to have an account with Netflix so I could rent movies to watch at home. I paid a monthly fee and could rent as few or as many movies as I wanted during the month. If you buy the movie for your ipod, first check and see what type of movies your ipod can handle. I do not mean comedy vs. romance movies. I mean technology. Blue ray videos vs. regular videos. Can your ipod show the movie at the speed it was intended to be shown at.Technology is increasing almost daily and the ipod you bought last year may not be able to handle some of this year's movie's.Once you ! buy the movie it is yours to keep and do what you want with it within copyright and other laws regarding distribution, sales and use of movies. The cost when buying a movie is a one time cost like buying groceries unless you charge others to see it then all those fun legalities kick in.Either way enjoy your movies....Show more

Edwina Fu: renting means you have 30 days from time of rent to watch the movie all the way through one time. and once you watch the movie, the next time you plug your ipod in, it will erase it from your ipod and your itunes. when you buy you get to keep it and watch it as many times as you want.
