If we enhanced the monkey's brain, would it be ethical to teach it religion?

Zelma Casebier: They already have moral behavior.

Iris Shawcroft: Same way I taught my dog "moral" behavior, and the same way I was taught moral behavior: When I did something wrong, I was ostracized.

Florencia Manolakis: Enhance their brain and they'd be athiest leave it alone, they be a j.w.

Wilburn Denice: i thought we already did this? then what are those things from the discovery institute

Tillie Wynott: by action, reprocussion, and reward. you give it two options in choice, if it chooses the moral answer you reward it. if it chooses the immoral one, punish it. by this method, the monkey will be forced, rather than having the choice, to do the moral thing, much the same as religion works. do the moral thing or burn for an eternity. thats how it works, right?teaching it religion would be unethical, as by teaching it to something that does not have the ability to discern and reason for itself, you are taking away it's ability to choose to beliv! e or not belive, thereby losing point in teaching him anything.ADDITIONAL CONTENT, SEPRATE TO ANSWER:if we tried to teach a monkey that there was a giant, invisible bearded man up in the sky that watches over and controls everything on earth but humans, he'd probbably be inclined to consider us devolved versons of himself. just saying....Show more

Carli Watterson: no, because religion says only humans have souls.poor monkey.

Kizzy Hett: animals already know about God.the have predictable patterns of living that God has bestowed upon them

Vern Serratos: A monkey cannot make moral decisions based on the idea of a God. Even in millions of years it will never understand God created it and he will judge sin. Man is different in that he has a conscience and a spirit that can fathom a God creating him.
